In 2016 Total Health Systems made a scene in downtown Mt. Clemens! Please join us in 2017 for an even bigger and louder scene!

It’s time to start thinking about the annual Let’s Move Festival in downtown Mt. Clemens! This year the race in on Saturday April 29.  In 2016 we had over 100 people participate for THS. Lets see how many TEAM THS T-shirts we can get out there this year!
The Let’s Move Festival  races has a number of races to chose from. Races start at 1 mile, 5k (3.1 miles), 10k (6.2 miles), and half marathon (13.1 miles).

Training Kick Off, Wed, March 8, 6:30pm, THS, 43740 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township:  SIGN UP HERE 
      You will learn more about each event, and we can help you decide which event is right for you.  You will be able to look at the training you need to commit to in order to complete the race.  We will share tips on training, nutrition, stretching, warming up, shoes, clothing, everything you need to know to make this a rewarding experience for you.

Team THS Pilates Plus, Sat, March 11, 10:15 am THS, 28098 23 Mile Rd, Chesterfield:  SIGN UP HERE

Pilates Plus is a fusion of Yoga, Pilates, and Barre. This class is ideal for runners and walkers.
    *       Elongate and align the spine for better stability.
    *       Expand the diaphragm.
    *       Increase overall flexibility, strength, and balance.
    *       Increase range of motion in hips and shoulders.
    *       Enhance concentration through focused breathing.
    *       Provide more upright running.
Bring a towel, water and positive energy. Your bare feet are welcome or you can bring yoga socks. THS does have a limited number of Yoga mats available but you are welcome to bring your own mat. Any other equipment required will be provided.
Core Training for Athletes, Thursday, March 16, 7:15 pm, THS, 43740 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township:  SIGN UP HERE 
Working your core is much more than just doing crunches and planks. Come dressed to participate and learn new ways to challenge yourself and prime your core for athletic activity.  Aaron. Lundgaard, DC, CCSP, CSCS and our Exercise science intern, Yousseff Bujiadar will be instructing.
Loosen Up Athletes! Thursday, March 23, 6pm THS, 57911 Van Dyke Rd, Washington:  SIGN UP HERE 
Flexibility is important to all athletes. Flexibility can increase performance while decreasing the chance of injury. In this class we will teach you the proper and safe techniques to stretch and release tension throughout the major muscle groups of the body. Come dressed to move. Carrie Blankertz certified personal trainer, and trainer to the trainers, will lead you thru a series of stretches to use as you prepare for our April 29 event!

Learn how to properly use the foam roller for injury prevention and how it can improve your performance, improve your recovery and help you hurt less.   This is an active workshop, come dressed to participate. We will provide foam rollers but if you have your own please bring it.
Fire Up for Race Day, Wed, April 26, 6:30pm, THS, 43740 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township:  SIGN UP HERE
Everything you need to know for race day. We will go over packet pick up, what is packet, parking, warming up, what to wear, any of your questions or concerns.

Once you receive your race confirmation/receipt send it to fitness@totalhealthsystems.com  To guarantee a THS t-shirt you must turn in your race registration receipt by April 1.
You will then receive a welcome email that will include a coupon for your t-shirt and information on the workshops we have planned for you. Hold onto to that t-shirt coupon,   you will need it when you pick up your t-shirt. T-shirts will be picked at Total Health Systems the week of the race.   Registrations received after April 1 are not guaranteed a THS team t- shirt.
