Athletic Trainers Association Across the U.S. athletic trainers are being recognized for their commitment to helping people prevent injuries, stay healthy and active. Athletic Trainers are health care professionals, highly educated and dedicated to the job at hand. Athletic Trainers can be found in high schools, colleges, corporations, professional sports, military, clinics, hospitals and physician offices.

Laurie Nuyens is the athletic trainer at Total Health Systems. Laurie treats some of our physical therapy patients by helping them with strength and mobility. Once a patient is discharged from physical therapy they can continue to make progress by enrolling in one of our cash based fitness programs. Patients can work with Laurie one on one, or enroll in group personal training (we call it FitRanX), or try a TRX suspension training class.

These cash based fitness services are available to everyone, and you don’t have to be current patient to join. Our website has more information and videos. www.totalhealthsystems.comfit logo 2

Sidelined with an injury? Make sure you consult a certified athletic trainer, who specializes in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. Avoid injury and stay active with an athletic trainer. A reminder from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association – nata.org – during National Athletic Training Month
